How I See Food

When I was painting this piece of art, I started to think about how the way people see food is always different. Some like it because of its fragrant smell, some like it because of its savory taste. I’ve realized that it’s the shape and eye-catching color of a food that makes me love it. How an item is configured, formatted, and the vibe of a composition is what catches my eye, and it makes me want to paint it down. I saw a photo of these blueberry donuts and decided to draw them. I love how the donuts are placed, the popping blue and purple colors of the frosting, and they connect me with the cute round shapes of the blueberries.
