The Process of Creating My New Logo

Recently, while printing my products, I noticed that my logo looked blurry and pixelated. After trying many, many solutions, I decided it was time to create a new one. One that wasn't so complicated that the printer couldn't handle so much detail at a small size. 😆

These are my first sketches. I started by looking at my current logo and thought about what I could simplify. The design was just too complicated, so I moved on and thought about other designs I could try. Below is what I had come up with next.

I started thinking about the shape of olive trees. The branches are always curvy, and I love the way they look. Based on a circle, I made a shape out of an olive tree branch, stopping before it became a full circle. The ones above may look the same, but if you look closely, I've changed how the letters are designed. I thought it would be nice to incorporate my own artwork into the font as well, and combining the two, I first created the "hanging olive" design for the "lo." After getting some feedback, I realised it wasn't very clear what it was supposed to be at first glance, so I changed it to a cursive "L," acting as the olive branch.

You might notice that it's not the final logo I came up with, and that's because it didn't really make any difference in the pixelation of my logo when printed out at a small size, because the text was actually smaller than before, so I had to come up with a new, different idea.

And this is what I landed with! After many days of trying different designs and testing the quality of each when printed out, I am so happy with the result. I kept trying to simplify what I had, continuing with the olive tree theme, and I think this one looks so pretty! 🤩.
